It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Belleville West had no problem doing just that on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-30 win over Champaign Central. Belleville West's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Belleville West's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Champaign Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Belleville West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 32-13 defeat against Richwoods on the 7th. Champaign Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
