Softball Recap: Murray Drops Season-High Score on Jordan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Murray). They were the clear victors by a 21-6 margin over the Jordan Beetdiggers on Wednesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Beetdiggers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Lyndee Marshall was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Bigelow, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Murray hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

Murray's record is now 3-4. As for Jordan, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murray will host Tooele at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Park City at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Jordan is facing Park City at the right time seeing as Park City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
