Softball Recap: Springstead Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Springstead and Gainesville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Springstead had to settle for second. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (1-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Springstead's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Gainesville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Springstead does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gainesville, they will take on Winter Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Hurricanes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
