Softball Recap: Spring Creek Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Spring Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 8-2 to the Elko Indians. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Indians since on Saturday.

Spring Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyson Clarke, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Elko, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Elko beat Spring Creek by a score of 10-5 later that day.
