Soccer Game Preview: Fugees Academy vs. Mt. Zion

The Fugees Academy Fugees are taking a road trip to face off against the Mt. Zion Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Fugees Academy fell victim to Elite Scholars Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Royal Knights. Fugees Academy have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Zion had taken Haralson County down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for Mt. Zion in their meetings with Haralson County: they've now lost three in a row.

Fugees Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mt. Zion, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Fugees Academy couldn't quite get it done against Mt. Zion in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Fugees avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
