Softball Recap: Reedy Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Reedy walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Frisco Raccoons on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Not much got past Malaina Boyst, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Frisco off the board. Boyst has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Abby Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Sommers, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Reedy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Reedy's record is now 19-10. As for Frisco, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15-1.

As of now, neither Reedy nor the Raccoons have any future games scheduled.
