Recap: Theodore Bobcats vs. Baker Hornets
The Theodore Bobcats waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Baker 67-40 at home. Given Theodore's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Baker is ranked 316th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jazmyn Bigham, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. She also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Parklyn Floyd was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Theodore's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Baker, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Theodore will take on Murphy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baker, they will be playing at home against Mary G. Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
