Basketball Recap: Mapleton Takes a Loss

Mapleton lost against Crestview back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mapleton Mounties took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crestview Cougars.

Mapleton's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Crestview, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mapleton will finish 2024 at home by hosting St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Crestview, they will host Monroeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crestview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Monroeville likes a good challenge.
