Volleyball Recap: Mogadore Beats Rootstown for Their Third Straight Victory

Mogadore waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rootstown Rovers. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rovers, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mogadore was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-14.

Kaitlyn Clester paced Mogadore's offense, picking up ten kills. Clester got some help from Emma Buter and her 16 assists. Buter and Clester didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Addie Biggin and Olivia O'Neill certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Biggin had 11 digs and two aces, while O'Neill had eight digs and one block. Biggin has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Mogadore's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Rootstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Mogadore has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Lake Center Christian on the 7th. As for Rootstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Wickliffe on the 7th.
