Volleyball Recap: Angel Gasiba's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dublin Coffman over Upper Arlington

Dublin Coffman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Upper Arlington Golden Bears, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on April 8th.

While Dublin Coffman was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

Dublin Coffman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Angel Gasiba, who had 13 digs and four assists. Another player making a difference was Antonio Vazquez, who had seven digs and one assist.

Dublin Coffman's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Upper Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Dublin Coffman has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Central Crossing on the 28th. As for Upper Arlington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Hilliard Darby on the 25th.
