Volleyball Recap: Coventry's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

Coventry was the 3-0 winner over Springfield when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Comets fell 3-1 to the Spartans on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Comets' undefeated start to the season.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Coventry lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 29-27.

Camryn Korora paced Coventry's offense, picking up 16 kills. Korora got some help from Mckenzie Osborne and her 27 assists. Ava Burkhart controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Coventry fell to 6-1. As for Springfield, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coventry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ravenna on the 11th. As for Springfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Norton on the 11th.
