Baseball Recap: Canton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Canton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Muncy Indians on Friday. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 12-11 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bailey Gardner was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Fitch, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Canton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Canton's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Muncy, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will host Williamson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Muncy, they will welcome Sugar Valley Rural at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
