Football Preview: Dinuba Emperors vs. Hanford Bullpups
After each having a week off, the Dinuba Emperors and the Hanford Bullpups will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Dinuba is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They and Washington Union were almost perfectly matched up last Friday, but Dinuba suffered a 25-24 loss.
Meanwhile, Hanford put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Redwood, posting a 56-12 victory at home. Given the Bullpups' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Rangers are ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kourdey Glass was his usual excellent self, rushing for 202 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards. Dinuba was dealt a bruising 47-6 loss at the hands of Hanford in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dinuba was down 33-0.
