Basketball Recap: Jayton Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jayton walked away with it. They walked away with a 49-36 win over the Blackwell Hornets on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaybirds, who have now won four contests in a row.

Jayton pushed their record up to 24-12 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for Blackwell, their loss dropped their record down to 23-10.

Coming up, Jayton will take on Irion County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Irion County will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Jayton surely won't give up without a fight. Blackwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
