Softball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Takes a Loss

Sunrise Mountain fell victim to Boulder City and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 19-0 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 back in March.

Sunrise Mountain has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Boulder City, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sunrise Mountain will take on rival Sports Leadership & Management at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Boulder City is set to square off against their familiar foe Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Eagles' favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while the Vikings have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
