Volleyball Recap: Kimberly Beats Arrowhead for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Kimberly came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Arrowhead Warhawks by a score of 2-0. The Papermakers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Warhawks, so the Papermakers were just returning the favor.

Kimberly didn't let Arrowhead take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23.

Alex Krause paced Kimberly's offense, picking up nine kills. Krause got some help from Blake Zielinski and his 17 assists. Krause was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Arrowhead's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jackson Bertolli, who had nine digs, and Alex Harker-Murray, who had seven assists and three digs.

Kimberly's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Arrowhead, they moved to 22-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Kimberly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Appleton North on the 18th. As for Arrowhead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Neenah on the 18th.
