Greendale dropped their record down to 7-3 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 15-3 to the Fond du Lac Cardinals. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 10-8 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Noeli Schutten made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

As for Fond du Lac, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

On Fond du Lac's side, they let Tristyn Ernst and Reghan Ziegler run wild. Ernst went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Ziegler went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Ziegler a new career-high. Lillian Birschbach was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Greendale and Fond du Lac should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Panthers will challenge Pius XI Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (114 vs. 279). Meanwhile, Fond du Lac (ranked 65th) will meet Appleton West (ranked 227th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
