Fredonia waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Allegany-Limestone Gators a 9-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Hillbillies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Danielle Palisin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Fredonia got a big performance out of Naomi Muck, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Cassidy Cramer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Fredonia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Fredonia's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Allegany-Limestone, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Fredonia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gators: the pair will be back at it again later today.
