Softball Recap: Trigg County Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Trigg County's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McCracken County Mustangs on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Trigg County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Livia Breckel, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Trigg County's loss dropped their record down to 25-8. As for McCracken County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-12.

Coming up, Trigg County will face off against Paducah Tilghman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McCracken County, they will take on Henderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
