Volleyball Game Preview: Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers vs. West Bladen Knights

The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers will challenge the West Bladen Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bartlett Yancey is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering McMichael just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Phoenix.

Bartlett Yancey was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12, 25-22.

Bartlett Yancey's loss came about despite a quality game from Lyndsey Smithers, who had 13 assists and seven digs. Smithers is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, West Bladen had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Pender on Saturday.

West Bladen's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Bartlett Yancey, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
