Basketball Recap: Clifton Beats Troy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Clifton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the Troy Trojans with a 33-27 win. This was a revenge game for the Cubs: when they faced off against the Trojans back in January, they had to take a 43-41 defeat.

Clifton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camy Barsh out in front who posted 13 points along with eight boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Barsh a new career-high in rebounds. Avary Woosley was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Clifton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Clifton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Troy, they dropped their record down to 13-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Clifton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 34-25 win against McGregor on the 31st. Troy has also already played their next contest, a 44-41 victory against Whitney on the 31st.
