Basketball Game Preview: Ottawa Hills Green Bears vs. Norwalk Truckers

The Ottawa Hills Green Bears will head out on the road to take on the Norwalk Truckers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ottawa Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.

Ottawa Hills is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Rossford just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 52-42 to the Bulldogs.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kendell Skiver, who posted 28 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Berenzweig, who put up five points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Ottawa Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Norwalk didn't have too much trouble with Perkins on Saturday as they won 55-41. Given the Truckers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Pirates are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norwalk's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Ottawa Hills, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
