Baseball Recap: Ball Takes a Loss

Ball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Angleton Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Tornadoes have lost by just one run.

Ball's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Angleton, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-7-1 record.

Ball and Angleton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Ball will square off against Iowa Colony at 4:00 p.m. on Friday down 421 places (677 vs. 256). Meanwhile, Angleton (ranked 590th) will meet Santa Fe (ranked 189th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
