Baseball Recap: Splendora Takes a Loss

Splendora fell victim to Crosby and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Splendora got a good showing from Keenan Owens, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Splendora's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Crosby, they now have a winning record of 12-11-1.

Coming up, Splendora will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against West Fork at 7:00 p.m. As for Crosby, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Crosby Cougars duke it out with Kingwood Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
