Washington Union had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Arroyo Grande Eagles on Wednesday. The Panthers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Cole Roth was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Washington Union's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Arroyo Grande, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16-1.

Coming up, Washington Union will take on Kingsburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.1, the Vikings 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Arroyo Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
