Basketball Recap: Sam Rayburn Comes Up Short

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 82-55 loss at the hands of the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks. While losing is never fun, the Texans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1015th, while the Mavericks are ranked 319th).

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Pasadena Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-11.

Sam Rayburn will face off against Shadow Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Creek will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Sam Rayburn surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pasadena Memorial, they will square off against Alvin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
