Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Grove Takes a Loss

Pleasant Grove was the 2-0 winner over Desert Hills when they last played one another back in September of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Thunder on Saturday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 22-25, 25-19.

Lexi Brown paced Pleasant Grove's offense, picking up 11 kills. Brown got some help from Marley McCandless and her 20 assists. Brown also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Dixie Werner, racking up three apiece.

Pleasant Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Desert Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Pleasant Grove will take on Lone Peak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Desert Hills, they will face off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
