Mahomet-Seymour and Effingham are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Bulldogs will host the Hearts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. He rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. Roberts got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards. Maxx Kistler was another key player, picking up 108 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Mahomet-Seymour now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Effingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Mahomet-Seymour has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 217.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Effingham, though, as they've been averaging only 45 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Mahomet-Seymour against Effingham in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-0 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Hearts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
