Soccer Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Nelson County

Nelson County had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the five-goal drubbing they dealt Galileo on Friday. The Governors blew past the Falcons 7-2. Nelson County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Galileo from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Jairo Chavez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win keeps Nelson County at an undefeated 11-0-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 46 goals over those nine matchups. As for Galileo, they dropped their record down to 1-12-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
