The team relied heavily on Samantha Scharton, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Navarro, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

North Monterey County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.2.

North Monterey County picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-11. As for Stevenson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
