Baseball Recap: Crawford Comes Up Short

Westminster hit Crawford with a six-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Colts fell 10-5 to the Lions. The Colts just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Abbel Martinez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Samuel Medina was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Crawford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Westminster, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-11.

Crawford will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kearny at 4:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Westminster, they will take on Santa Ana at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
