Soccer Game Preview: Decatur vs. Parkside

The Decatur Seahawks will take on the Parkside Rams at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Decatur knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Parkside likes a good challenge.

Decatur's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Easton. The result was nothing new for Decatur, who have now won three matches by five goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Parkside's offense. They lost 6-0 to Kent Island on Tuesday. Parkside haven't had much luck with Kent Island recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Parkside's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything went Decatur's way against Parkside in their previous meeting back in September, as Decatur made off with an 11-0 win. Will the Seahawks repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
