Football Game Preview: Lakeridge Pacers vs. Lake Oswego Lakers + How To Watch

Lakeridge is 2-8 against Lake Oswego since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pacers will look to defend their home field against the Lakers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Friday, Lakeridge took their game with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over Tigard. Given the Pacers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Tigers are ranked 36th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Weiler, who threw for 166 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Weiler's passing game has become a key predictor of the Pacers' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Another pass catcher making a difference was Turner Tropio, who picked up 81 receiving yards and three TDs.

Lakeridge didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Tigard to a completion percentage of just 42.1%. The Pacers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 68.8%.

Meanwhile, Lake Oswego never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past Oregon City to the tune of 48-0. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lake Oswego's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Lakeridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Lakeridge came up short against Lake Oswego in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 28-18. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Lakers' LaMarcus Bell, who rushed for 165 yards and a pair of scores. Now that the Pacers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
