Basketball Game Preview: Pitman Panthers vs. Wildwood Warriors

The Pitman Panthers will head out to face off against the Wildwood Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Panthers fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Wednesday's season opener. They came out on top against Overbrook by a score of 66-58 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Wildwood made easy work of Pennsville Memorial on Wednesday and carried off a 54-34 win.

Wildwood's win came from a few key players Pitman will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brian Cunniff, who went 8 of 18 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Troiano, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Pitman took their victory against Wildwood in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 75-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pitman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
