Julian Fernandez Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is Corcoran's Julian Fernandez, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Fernandez picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made four total tackles.

Corcoran now has a winning record of 4-3. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers challenges Orosi at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Tony Alvarez Goes Supernova in Corcoran Win

Colunga Posts Huge Game in 20-19 Loss

While Strathmore might've come up empty on Friday, Isaiah Colunga wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the defeat, Colunga was still balling out as he rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 165 yards on seven of 19 attempts.

With the loss, Strathmore broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. Colunga and Strathmore will take on Granite Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Jose Cortes Makes It Two for Lindsay

Another Lindsay player making an appearance on this list is Jose Cortes. He rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Farmersville's probably not too fond of Cortes given he always seems to get the better of them. When Cortes last faced the Aztecs back in October of 2023, he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
