Football Recap: Valor Christian Eagles vs. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles
Valor Christian faced Mountain Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 38-36. The Eagles lost against the Golden Eagles in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-21 score last time.
Valor Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Hanosh, who rushed for 118 yards and one TD, and also picked up 68 receiving yards and one touchdown. Hanosh was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 57 yards. Channing Fox was in the mix too, providing Valor Christian with three scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Valor Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Mountain Vista, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
