Cedar Creek is 8-2 against Holy Spirit since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Cedar Creek got the win against Atlantic City by a conclusive 19-6. The Pirates have beaten the Vikings the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

Jerry McGowan was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McGowan was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nolan Scholder, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Watkins, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Holy Spirit made easy work of Egg Harbor Township on Saturday and carried off a 17-8 victory.
Gavin Cohen was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Ty Costablie was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Holy Spirit was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Egg Harbor Township only posted a batting average of .321.
Cedar Creek pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Holy Spirit, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cedar Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Holy Spirit struggles in that department as they've averaged .360. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Cedar Creek's way against Holy Spirit in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Cedar Creek made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
