Franklin posted their closest victory since February 2nd on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Rocky Grove Orioles 53-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Findlan, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Jameson Wofford, who earned 14 points.

Rocky Grove's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Baughman, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Schiffer Anderson, who had 14 points.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Rocky Grove, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Franklin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Conneaut Area at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Rocky Grove, they will welcome Redbank Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Redbank Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Rocky Grove likes a good challenge.
