Softball Recap: Valley Oaks CES Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bert Corona Charter on Monday, Valley Oaks CES came back down to earth. The Vanguards came up short against the Triumph Charter Jaguars on Wednesday, falling 24-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-2 back in April.

Valley Oaks CES has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Triumph Charter, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Valley Oaks CES is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakeview Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Triumph Charter will take on rival Community Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
