After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Connetquot, Newfield was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Copiague Eagles 20-18. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

The win got Newfield back to even at 1-1. As for Copiague, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newfield is set to face off against their familiar foe Half Hollow Hills East at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Copiague will challenge rival West Babylon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
