Triangle Math & Science had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Falls Lake Firebirds on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-2 win two weeks ago.

While Triangle Math & Science won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 25-23.

Lev Marushevskyi paced Triangle Math & Science's offense, picking up 22 kills. Marushevskyi got some help from Chris Lange and his 26 assists. Marushevskyi was also solid from the service line: he led the team with nine aces.

Triangle Math & Science has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Falls Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
