Soccer Game Preview: Clint vs. Austin

The Clint Lions will head out on the road to take on the Austin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clint is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Clint fell victim to Ysleta and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. While losing is never fun, Clint can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 651st, while Ysleta are ranked 293rd).

Meanwhile, Austin managed to keep up with Bowie until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Panthers came up short against the Bears, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for Austin in their meetings with Bowie: they've now lost five in a row.

Clint's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
