Basketball Recap: Brantley Triumphs

If McKenzie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brantley, they should've done a better job of containing CoCo Stamps. The Brantley Bulldogs breezed by the McKenzie Tigers to the tune of 51-23 on Tuesday thanks in part to Stamps, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points along with six boards and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 29 times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Myia Mount, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Brantley now has a winning record of 7-6. As for McKenzie, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Brantley will host Georgiana at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brantley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for McKenzie, they will head out to challenge Elba at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
