Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lakeside Lutheran was the 3-0 winner over Lake Mills when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the L-Cats on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeside Lutheran was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lake Mills work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Brianna Dahlie paced Lakeside Lutheran's offense, picking up 14 kills. Dahlie got some help from Grace Hoppenrath and her 21 assists. Molly Muchka controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lakeside Lutheran now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lake Mills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakeside Lutheran is set to face off against their familiar foe Poynette at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lake Mills will square off against rival Lodi at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
