Softball Recap: East Wake Academy Eagles vs. Vance Charter Knights
East Wake Academy dropped their record down to 5-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Vance Charter Knights, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
As for Vance Charter, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Ten seems to be a good number for they as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

In other batting news, Aubrey Puryear was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Katelin Guerrant, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
East Wake Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-5 loss against Rolesville on the 23rd. As for Vance Charter, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-3 victory against Northern Durham on the 23rd.
