Adding to the longest winning streak in Section 5 Freelance this week, Aquinas Institute beat Monroe-Woodbury 48-13. The victory was the 13th in a row for the team.
Aquinas Institute took down the Crusaders 48-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jake Zembiec threw for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.
Chris Battaglia's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Luch Pietropaolo contributed 86 yards. Alex Bianchi helped Aquinas Institute's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 78 yards.
He was 13-20 with 1 interception.
Zembiec put up the best numbers in passing as the Little Irish topped Monroe-Woodbury. Zembiec's favorite target this week was Alonzo Turney, who caught 3 passes for 107 yards.
Aquinas Institute's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Little Irish feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Zembiec has thrown for 1,932 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, while Donato Clemente has 29 catches for 466 yards.
