Basketball Recap: Sand Creek Takes a Loss

Sand Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 56-25 loss at the hands of the Britton Deerfield Patriots. Having soared to a lofty 72 points in the game before, the Aggies couldn't push the score so high this time.

Britton Deerfield had a senior duo take command as Ryan Good went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and six steals and Owen Plum went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points and four steals. Good is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Liem Roe, who posted six points and three steals.

Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Britton Deerfield, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Sand Creek will head out to challenge East Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Britton Deerfield, they will welcome Morenci at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
