It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but The Villages Charter had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by the South Sumter Raiders to the tune of 85-49. The Buffalo have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.

The Villages Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaron Britt, Jr. led the charge by going 8 for 14 from beyond the arc to rack up 28 points. Thanks to that strong game, Britt, Jr. now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Herly Brutus, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

The Villages Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

The Villages Charter's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for South Sumter, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

As of now, neither The Villages Charter nor South Sumter have any future games scheduled.
