Softball Game Preview: Van Buren Black Knights vs. Arlington Red Devils

Van Buren has gone a perfect 3-0 against Arlington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Black Knights will venture away from home to take on the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. The matchup will give Van Buren their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Van Buren managed to slip by Clay the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Black Knights lost 14-3 to the Eagles on Saturday. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to Cory-Rawson.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Van Buren, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Van Buren's way against Arlington in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Van Buren made off with an 11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Black Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
