Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Plainsmen vs. Prairie Falcons

The Evergreen Plainsmen will face off against the Prairie Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evergreen is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Evergreen lost 64-41 to Mark Morris on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Plainsmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Monarchs are ranked 63rd).

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Prairie's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Mountain View. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Prairie's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for Evergreen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Evergreen skirted past Prairie 58-56 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Evergreen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Prairie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
